A popular song from our set list with our band, The Fall Line Ramblers. This was the band Janice and I played in for many years...Randy was never part of this. Yeah, that's me with the biker mustache :)
The below are all Janice, Randy and Bud. Sometimes we played a few gigs but mostly just jamming when Randy was home from Nashville. All of the lead work is Randy. All bass is me and some rhythm guitar. Janice plays rhythm guitar and rhythm mandolin. Randy also played some rhythm. Randy was, as I've mentioned, Grammy nominated and a heckuva multiple award winning Fiddler/Mandolin player but Working On A Building and White Dove shows some of his guitar playing. He's playing Janice's old D-18 on both cuts. I just turned on a little cassette recorder on and grabbed Working - it was one of those that just happened. So here's Janice in the bluegrass days. The recordings are all 20+ years old. The first cut, our band, I recorded on a Tascam 8 track cassette unit...the others were on a 4 track cassette recorder. I just picked a few to show the type of stuff we were doing. VERY little time was spent on these and that shows. They are not songs that we likely ever played together again. Just fooling around with the recorder. The recording quality is not very good to decent.
